Dreamy Days

Hello Dear Ones,

How many of us have created a vision board before?

If you’ve been around here for a while, you know I’m raising my hand because I created a huge vision board a few years ago that I love. I still have it posted because it’s still relevant. In case you’re curious, here’s a picture:

There’s a reason it’s still relevant to me. These dreams and ideas I have on this board are big and mean a lot to me.

A new idea came across my TikTok this year from @karinnordinphd. She shared this idea of making a different kind of board, a collection of inspiring photos that are focused more on what you want your day-to-day life to look like.

Think about what your dream day looks like that leads to the big goals and dreams.

We often think in the big picture, things like: I want to lose twenty pounds, or I want to eat healthier, I want to go on a big trip to New Zealand, I want to be able to speak fluent Spanish, or I want to sculpt a masterpiece.

We don’t spend as much time on the question, “what does my daily life need to look like for that to become a reality?” And then also being honest with ourselves whether we want our days to look like that or incorporate those necessary steps as a priority.

I invite you to think about your dream day, dear reader. If you could choose how you’d spend your days, what would they look like?

Now, if you’re feeling overwhelmed, stressed, burned out, or exhausted, your initial answer may be something like “on a beach somewhere” or “in a mountain cabin close to a hot spring” – this has been my answer before. If that’s your answer, know that you’re not alone in that, I hear things like this often.

And I invite you to truly think about this, most likely we’d eventually get bored of vacation, miss our families, and perhaps even miss the work we do.

So in your real day-to-day life, what do you want that to look like?

Maybe your dreamy days include things like good quality sleep, meaningful work in a comfortable space, having time to cook delicious and nourishing meals, quality time with family, and time to be playful and creative.

These are some of mine, and I’m curious what you feel yours would be. If you’d like, take a moment to think about it, and perhaps write down some ideas in a journal, use the notes app on your phone, or respond to this message and let me know – I’d love to hear from you!

I’m a visual person, so if you feel like you are too, you can take this a step further with me. I’ve created a 2024 Daily Vision Board on Pinterest. You can look through my ideas here. My goal is to recreate some of these images in my own way this year.

If you’re interested in getting some help with discovering what you’d like to prioritize in your days to promote energy, health, and calm in your life, let’s talk. You can sign up for my free initial consultation here.

Wishing you a wonderful week, dear ones.

With love and kindness,

Jessica

P.S.S

The fun thing I’m doing to take care of myself right now is cooking more frequently! That’s definitely on this year’s bingo card. The past few months it’s been easier to not have a plan for food, which is ultimately not helpful for me. So I’m planning a bit more and doing some meal prep. This week I made the most delicious chickpea salad sandwiches from Carleigh Bodrug’s Plant You Cookbook.
