Lets Make Time

Hello Dear Ones,

Fall is here! In the Midwest, it’s arguably the most beautiful time of year, with the leaves changing and the morning air getting crisp. It’s a time of transition, and so I always like to make a little bit of time for myself to reflect. That’s my invitation to you today.

It sounds wild, but we only have 3 months left in this year, so it’s a great time to think about all the incredible things you’ve accomplished and how you want to finish it out.

Taking time to reflect is one of the best things we can do for ourselves to support our growth and relationships (with ourselves and others). So let's take a few moments to pause and acknowledge all that you’ve accomplished in the past 9 months. I bet it’s more than you’ve given yourself credit for.

Tools can be so helpful in reflection because they help us see things in a different way. I love using the wheel of life because it gives such a broad perspective of all the realms of wellbeing and then you can think about how it relates to your life.

To use this tool, rank each area from 1-10, 1 being not feeling great and 10 being that you feel solid in that area.

No judgment here.

After you rate them all, to take it a step further, look at the top 3 categories that you ranked the highest. What are you doing well in that area? What helped you build success in these areas?

Then look at your lowest 3 categories? What do you feel like you could improve in these areas? What would be the first steps to take?

I hope you find this tool to be valuable, and if you want any help or something pops up that you’d like to discuss, schedule some time with me here.

With love and kindness,

Jessica

PS.

The fun thing I’m doing to take care of myself right now is learning! I’ve just started a certification program to work with people with disordered eating, emotional eating, and binge eating habits. I’m so excited about this program because I’ve learned how pervasive disordered eating and strained relationships with food are in the past few years. I’m currently looking for clients who struggle with their eating to be a part of my case study for this program. If you or someone you know is interested, please reach out.
