“No”vember

“The hardest thing about implementing boundaries is accepting that some people won't like, understand, or agree with yours. Once you grow beyond pleasing others, setting your standards becomes easier. Not being liked by everyone is a small consequence when you consider the overall reward of healthier relationships.” ~ Nedra Glover Tawwab

Hello Dear Ones,

I recently had a coach friend share this idea of “No”vember with me and I love this idea!

This time of year, I know I’m more tempted to say ‘yes’ to people asking for my time, money, and energy. Since it’s the season of giving, it’s natural for me to want to say yes to it all!

And at the same time, it’s also not reasonable for me to say yes to it all.

So it becomes necessary for me to spend a moment thinking about my top priorities, and what’s most important to me for this season. For every yes I say to one person, it’s a no to something else.

Being clear about how I want to spend my precious time is the way I make it through this season with no regrets or resentment. If we cram our schedules and deplete our energy, it can be hard to actually enjoy any of the magic of the season.

Dear reader, what feels like the best way to show up this season? What would feel great to say no to this month? Or even for the rest of the year?

If you’re a person who struggles with setting and maintaining boundaries, know that you’re not alone. This is something I help people with regularly. If you’d like to find out how and learn more about working with me one-on-one, I have one spot left in my programs for this year! Schedule your time for a free consultation here.

Cheers to saying no to what doesn’t light you up, dear one!

With love and kindness,

Jessica
