Vitamin “P” Deficiency

Hello Dear Ones,

As our inboxes are getting inundated with deals galore and messages about what to buy and how to stay sane in this stressful holiday season, I want to offer an idea for you to think about.

I recently learned this wonderful truth from my course, where I’ve learned to specialize in working with women who struggle with binge eating and have tried all the diets with no permanent success. In my new program, I help these women find peace in their relationship with food and love the bodies they live in.

The fabulous nugget I’d love to share with you is something that we can all benefit from and that’s a vitally missing nutrient: Vitamin “P”, which is pleasure!

What I’ve learned is that when we take the time to actually enjoy the process of eating, we release chemicals that help us digest our food differently so we get more of the nutrients and nourishment out of it. When we are relaxed and eating pleasurably, we’re more likely to pay attention to when we’re feeling full as well.

Thanksgiving has passed us by, and if I know one thing about the holiday season, it’s that food is a huge part of it. For better or worse, our society has ingrained food into these celebrations in a big way. Many times in the past few weeks I’ve been asked what my favorite holiday dish is, and it seems to be a natural part of conversation this time of year.

I’ve also had conversations with clients who struggle in their relationship with food, and they are nervous about the holidays because they know they’re a trigger for them to overeat. If we’re honest, most people overeat at the holidays, which is why there’s a high enrollment rate in quick-fix diets in the new year.

Instead of feeling the guilt and shame of overeating, how can you keep in mind the enjoyment of eating delicious food, prepared with love, and truly take pleasure in the process?

Vitamin P can be included in every meal! By slowing down, savoring your food, and allowing yourself to enjoy the process, you can reap the benefits of eating pleasurably this holiday season.

If you want to know more about Vitamin P, this video gives a great overview.

If you or someone you know struggles with emotional eating or binge eating, and they’ve tried all the diet programs with no lasting success and are ready to heal their relationship with food and love the body they live in, let’s talk. I’m scheduling free consultations now for the few spots I have open in the new year.

Wishing you and your loved ones a fabulous holiday season filled with peace, love, and joy!

With love and kindness,

Jessica

P.S.

The fun thing I’ve been doing to take care of myself lately is planning. I’ve got some major reflection and planning time happening over here and it’s been so much fun! I’m the kinda person that loves a fresh calendar for the new year and loves to create goals and wishes (not resolutions) when entering the new year.

I’d love to hear from you how you’re taking care of yourself this holiday season?!
